National Institute of Electronics and IT (NIELIT)- Gangtok in association with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC)-Kolkata with the support of CID Branch, Sikkim Police started the offline training programme on Cyber Forensics for Sikkim Police personnel from Tuesday, 14th December, 2021. The training was implemented under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India sponsored project entitled "Development of Cyber Forensic Training cum Investigation Labs in North-Eastern States and Cloud based Centralized Cyber Forensics Lab Infrastructures" being implemented by CDAC-Kolkata and NIELIT Kohima.

NIELIT Silchar conducted a One Day Workshop on "Emerging Technologies" where 50 no of students participated from Silchar College, Kabirgram, Singari on 28th March 2024.
