A seminar on “Cyber Law’ was held on 03/06/2004 at Samwad Bhawan, D.D.U. Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur by DOEACC Centre Gorakhpur, jointly with Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Varanasi Sub Centre. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. R. R. Pandey, Vice Chancellor, D.D.U. Gorakhpur University. Sh. Vikrant Kalra, Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer, N. E. Railway was the Guest of Honour. Sh. S. C. Tewari, Director, DOEACC Centre, Gorakhpur delivered the key note address. The seminar has made good impact on the general public regarding awareness on information security and cyber law. More so, the local and regional public was made aware of the Internet facility of ERNET INDIA at DOEACC Centre, Gorakhpur
