NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (NIELIT), Gorakhpur Centre (Formerly DOEACC Society, Gorakhpur Centre) was established as Centre for Electronics Design & Technology of India (CEDTI) in June, 1989. It is an Autonomous Scientific Society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India.  NIELIT Gorakhpur conducts M.Tech. Course in two branches, M.Tech. in Electronics Design & Technology and M.Tech. in VLSI Design. It also conducts training programs for promotion of Entrepreneurs. It is also an accredited centre for 'O' and 'A' level Software Courses ,'O' and 'A' level in Bio-Informatics and for 'O' and 'A' level Hardware Courses.

NIELIT Gorakhpur, aims to raise a global community of engaged alumni serving as a resource in the field Information, Electronics and Communications Technology (IECT).  The Alumni Cell at NIELIT Gorakhpur has been established to gives an association to its pass out students and promote common interests of NIELIT Gorakhpur and its alumni.

The key Objective of Alumni Cell of NIELIT Gorakhpur is to

• To give an opening for alumni to engage and connect with the Institute to help with programs and events.
• To build a network of Alumni of NIELIT Gorakhpur to get connected with each other.
• Contribute to the Institute’s vision of being recognized among leading institutions in academics, research, outreach and innovation.
• Furnishing and promoting openings for levy engagement, professional association, career development, leadership and fellowship among alumni.
