Eligibility : Scoring 50% in 10+2 Exam (45% for SC/ST) and Pass in Mathematics/Business Mathematics and English at 10+2

Duration : 3 years (Semester System)

Academic Curriculum of BCA :

BCA course was introduced from July, 2007 academic session. It is a degree course in computer application affiliated to Nagaland University. Duration of the Course is 3 Years (Semester system). Admission to the course takes place during May/June every year. Admission notice will be published in the local daily newspaper of Nagaland and some national level newspaper about 2 months prior to the commencement of course.

Objective:

The Objective of the course is to provide training to the potential candidates for becoming an Information Technology Graduate. BCA graduates are suitable for employment as Programmer, System Analyst and Administrator etc.

Recognition:

This course is designed, prepared and approved by Nagaland University. It is a three years degree course awarded by Nagaland University.

Intake :120 seats for each session

Selection Procedure :

Selection of candidate is purely through a written entrance test conducted by NIELIT, Kohima. If number of applicants is less, entrance test is not held.

There will be a project work in 6th Semester. The project work is treated as paper of 6th Semester with paper code PRO:604. There is no assigned lecture &practical sessions for this paper. Full mark is 100 including 20 marks for internal assessment.
