A half day workshop on Digital Marketing was organized by NIELIT Shillong in collaboration with Commerce and Industries Department, Govt of Meghalaya to create awareness amongst Artisans and budding entrepreneurs on the advantages of using Digital Platform to sell their produce at minimal investment.
Participants numbering 54 included officials from Commerce and Industries Department, Govt of Meghalaya, Local entrepreneurs and Artisans.
Inaugural speech was offered by Mrs. M B Roy, Director, Commerce and Industries, Meghalaya followed by a talk on Digital Marketing from an Economist point of view by Prof. Utpal Kumar De, Professor and Head, Department of Economics, North-Eastern Hill University. Technical session on Marketing using Digital Platform was complimented by Sh Canning S Shabong, Assistant Director (IT), Directorate of Agriculture, Meghalaya.
