Most of the services provided by NIELIT in the form of various courses, training programmes, consultancy and providing technical manpower, are covered under the ambit of Service Tax.  The service tax applicable to NIELIT shall now be replaced with GST. 

The rate on these services shall be @18% of the value of service (as per latest notification). To facilitate all concerned, NIELIT would be setting up facilitation centres at all the NIELIT centres where concerned people can visit and clarify their related queries. Also, there would be a provision of facilitating through emails.  The relevant queries would be addressed through return mails as well as in person queries.

The facilitation centre shall communicate the amendments / clarifications in this regard  to all concerned.
