A seminar on career guidance was held on 29th April 2016 at 10 AM at the Library Hall.
Resource person Mr. Andrew, Principal, Don Bosco School, Tuli spoke on the different career oppurtunities after Class X and XII. He also asked the students to work hard and to be focus on their goals.
Mr Meyazung, EAC Chuchuyimlang spoke on how to prepare for competetive examinations such as NPSC, UPSC, Staff Selection, Banking Sectors etc. He encouraged the gathering by giving a short story of his life wherein one should not waste time during our youth but best try to use it to achieve a goal. He also encouraged the students to be wise in choosing their circle of friends as ultimately it reflects on our lives.
Officer-Inchare of NIELIT Extension Centre spoke on the different opportunities in non-formal educational sector. Using case studies of past students who are successfully working in government and private sectors, he encouraged the students that no education is too less and that it is never too late to learn.
Interaction was held with the students at the end of the programme. A total of 110 students participated in the workshop.
