Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma, DG, NIELIT laid Foundation Stone of New Academic Block of NIELIT Imphal, inaugurated Model Career Centre and released a Manipuri  translated book on "Mobile Phone Security" during his visit to Imphal on 22nd April, 2016 in august presence of Shri N. Ashoka Kumar, Secretary to CM & Special Secretary(IT), Govt. of Manipur; Shri M.Joy Singh,, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East and Shri T.P Singh, Executive Director, NIELIT Imphal.
     
On the occasion of Earth Day (22nd April), tree plantation was also carried out in the NIELIT Imphal Campus.
