NIELIT has signed MOU with Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Amarkantak (MP) on 9th Sep 2015. IGNTU is a Central University of national importance which has been established by a special Act of Parliament of Republic of India. The MoU was signed by Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma, MD, NIELIT and Prof. T.V. Kattimani, Vice-Chancellor, IGNTU at New Delhi.

The goal of the MoU is to foster collaboration, provide opportunity for global experience and to facilitate advancement of knowledge, best efforts and frequent interactions by exchanging of information on research , teaching , learning materials including joint organization of seminars, conferences, workshops on Digital India Initiatives, Smart City, Make In India, Skill India and other national issues.

Both the institutions to start joint research program leading to PhD degree at all virtual Centres of NIELIT in areas of Computer Science, ICT etc and the institutions will jointly fulfill the demand and provide broadband /NKN connectivity to offer online programs for PhD degree course through virtual class, webinars and streamed content.
