NIELIT Gangtok is also implementing the Cyber Security Awareness project sponsored by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India with an objective of creating mass cyber security awareness among schools, colleges and Government employees through appropriate training and campaign mechanism. Employees, students and general public are being made aware of the dangers related to cyberspace and safety and security tips to be followed to promote a healthy cyberspace. As part of the project NIELIT Gangtok has been conducting workshops at the schools and colleges identified by Human Resource Development Department (HRDD), Govt. of Sikkim across the state to generate awareness about cyber safety in addition to developing learning materials and multimedia content in Nepali language. Also from time to time articles are being published and talk shows are being carried out to reach to the masses.
