NIELIT Delhi Centre is providing free training to women candidates under a DietY( Department of Electronics and Information Technology )sponsored project titled “IT for masses for Women”.
Project title: “Training of Women in Delhi for creating women Entrepreneurs/Data Entry operators with an exposure to Tally, to promote awareness and to enhance vocational skills of women”.
Project outcome: Under this scheme free training is being provided to women with low income group (Annual income upto 5 lacs).
- Women candidates with minimum 8th qualification are being trained in basic e-literacy programme( BCC)
- Undergraduate women are being trained as Data Entry operators ( CCC and Typing with introduction to Tally)
Project Start Date: November, 2013
Project Implementation:
Under this scheme, two courses are being run, namely
- Office Automation and General Awareness
- Office Automation and Data Entry and Introduction to Tally.
Course Details:
- Office Automation and General Awareness
Duration: 6 weeks ( 2 hrs. a day)
Contents: Computer Fundamentals, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Powerpoint, Network Basics, Internet, Awareness to female candidates about the schemes available, safety issues
Eligibility: Females with minimum 8th Qualification and family income less than 5 lacs are eligible
2. Office Automation and Data Entry and Introduction to Tally
Duration: 12 weeks ( 2 hrs. a day)
Contents: Computer Fundamentals, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, Network Basics, Internet, Introduction to Tally, Typing on Computer
Eligibility: Females with minimum 12th Qualification and family income less than 5 lacs are eligible
Successful candidates are empanelled as Data Entry operators

NIELIT Delhi centre is executing this project in collaboration with Department of women and Child Development, GNCTD. (DWCD)
DWCD has provided space at five of its work centres .The centre locations are as mentioned below:

Who all can take benefit under this scheme?
The eligibility/criteria for taking admission under the scheme are as follows:
- The scheme is valid for female candidates only.
- The candidates must have annual family income not exceeding Rs.5 lacs for which an income certificate or affidavit has to be submitted.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- For course titled “Office Automation and General Awareness” (NIELIT BCC syllabus), Minimum Qualification is 8th
- For course titled “Office Automation and Data Entry and Introduction to Tally” (NIELIT CCC syllabus), candidate should be at least 18 years of age and minimum qualification is 12th.
How to avail benefit from this scheme?
One can simply visit any of the above mentioned centres and contact the faculties in the centres and take admission in the course as per the eligibility after submitting all valid documents.
