National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY),  Government of India is implementing the project “Skill Development of Unemployed Youths of Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar for Enhancing Employability and Enabling Entrepreneurship Towards  Sustainable Development of States” which is sponsored by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India to conduct Skill Development training program of 50,040 candidates belonging to SC/ ST and EWS (General) candidates in four states in the area of IT & Electronics over a period of 3-years. 

In the state of Jharkhand, NIELIT Ranchi will implement the training programme. The project was initially started in five districts, namely Simdega, Deoghar, Koderma, Chatra, and Seraikela Kharsawan, and will now be implemented across the entire state. Under this training programme, candidates will be provided training in NSQF-aligned courses of NIELIT, with course durations ranging from 90 hours to 540 hours.
