Visit of AS-MeitY & DG-NIELIT to Kolkata on 09-05-2024

Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt of India and Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi, Director General, National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) visited NIELIT Salt Lake Campus on 9th May 2024 wherein Shri V.Krishnamurthy, Executive Director highlighted the activities undertaken by the Centre. Shri Goutam Saha, Scientist-E and his team presented the work done on the software development of AgriCulture Census project along with its status. Then WBL Interns gave a presentation on their research work by using the latest tools and technologies in the area of AI, ML, Deep Learning and drones in applications of agriculture and farming. The dignitaries appreciated the work undertaken by the staff and interns.

Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS, Addl. Secretary, MeitY delivered a motivating speech and appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Centre. He further asked to enhance qualification and skillsets and move forward for career development. Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi, Director General, NIELIT delivered an inspiring speech focussing on the activities being carried out by the Centre and advised to use Blockchain technology and Data Analytics in future projects especially in the area of AgriCensus and agricultural farming.
