About IT Application Engineer ('B' Level)

'B' Level Course of NIELIT Scheme has been recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India, as professionally equivalent to MCA Degree Course. Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination conducted by the NIELIT. Working professionals can also appear in this examination directly, provided they possess the requisite educational qualification as indicated below.

Salient Features:

  • Internship opportunity shall be provided to top 3 candidates after successful completion of the course. Stipend of Rs. 10000/- p.m (revised) shall be paid to candidate during 6 months internship.

Project:

At ‘B’ level there are two projects. The first one will be as for ‘A’ level and is to be completed as for ‘A’ level. The second project should approximately amount to an effort of 500 man-hours, 300 marks are assigned. The project should be chosen by the candidate and approved by the NIELIT. This should be submitted after completion of all papers with a fee of Rs. 3000/- and a certificate. NIELIT will provide an External examiner to conduct a viva-voce.

International Recognitions:

  • NIELIT B Level Qualification with three years’ experience is recognized as equivalent to Associate Certified IT Project Manager (CITPM) of National Infocomm Competency Centre (NICC) Singapore and Singapore Computer Society (SCS) as per the MOU signed in August, 2002 between NIELIT and NICC & SCS.
  • NIELIT B Level qualification has been recognized as equivalent to Software Design & Development Engineer of Japan Information Technology Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) of Information Technology Promotion Agency, Japan.

  • Course Fee: Rs. 24,000/- per semester
  • Up to 75% Scholarship* on course fee for General/OBC candidates
  • For SC/ST candidates Course Fee: NIL
