With the objective of engaging the Indian youth with Digital India Programme, National e-Governance Division (NeGD), in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) under the Department of Youth Affairs organized a  day long workshop at Sikkim University on 10-09-16 during which NIELIT, Gangtok showcased  the Digital India initiatives of Govt. of India meant for transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Efforts were made to create awareness amongst the students about the role of NIELIT under Digital India Programme and the basket of courses being offered by NIELIT, Gangtok for digital empowerment and skill development .
