On 11^th September, 2024, the Sonitpur District Administration, in collaboration with the Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS), organized an Intensified Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign at the NIELIT Tezpur Extension Centre.

The event aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and stigma reduction within the community. Various stakeholders, including health officials, educators, and students, participated in the campaign, which featured informative sessions, display of educational materials, and interactive discussions.

District officials emphasized the importance of community engagement in combating the epidemic and encouraged attendees to share knowledge and resources to promote a healthier society. The campaign is part of ASACS's broader initiative to enhance awareness and foster a supportive environment for those affected by HIV/AIDS in Assam.
