NIELIT Jammu conducted a specialized 3-month training program titled "Python with Data Science and Machine Learning," for defence personnel sponsored by the Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR). A valedictory function presided over by Col GP Singh, Director DRZ (North) and Shri Shameem Khan, Director NIELIT J&K was conducted on 3-Nov-2023.

Designed exclusively for JCOs and ORs, this training initiative aimed to empower defence personnel with cutting-edge skills in Python programming, Data Science, and Machine Learning. The program focuses on the professional development, skilling and employability enhancement of armed forces personnel. A total of 29 candidates participated in the training program.

Speaking on the occassion Colonel Singh, Director DRZ (North), emphasized the importance of such initiatives in equipping military personnel with skills that are not only relevant in the current technological landscape but also open doors to diverse career opportunities post their service. Shri Khan, Director NIELIT J&K, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the program and highlighted NIELIT's commitment to providing specialized training that aligns with the evolving demands of the industry.
