Dr.Mahendra Mohan Sharma, Executive Director, NIELIT Chandigarh Centre, outlined the details of the programme for training of traders on digital payment initiatives. He held a brief meeting with traders on his visit to NIELIT Shimla Centre on 22^nd April, 2017 and outlined the advantages of using digital payments as a medium for transaction, which would help the Government to achieve the objective of a less-cash economy.Dr.Sharma stressed upon the need to understand and adopt simplified digital payment mechanisms like UPI,USSD,BHIM etc.in a convenient manner, which would contribute towards establishing digital economy and conveying the benefits of digital payments to traders through capacity building programmes.
