 ‘O’ level course

The NIELIT curriculum has been scientifically designed to give the students a solid foundation in Information Technology. The one-year course comprises of two semesters that are further divided into four modules. The entire course is covered in more than 500 hours - divided evenly between lectures and laboratory. In addition, at least 20 hours of inputs will be provided in the Personality Development and Pre-Placement training which gives a competitive edge to NIELIT students in the job market.

‘A’ level course

'O' level leads to progressively advanced course such as 'A' level. It also lays down the foundation for premier international I.T. An ‘A’ Level qualifier is expected to be key member of a software development team with all round capabilities to manage and guide a software project. In order to develop these capabilities the ‘A’ level course has been so designed that a student acquires an in-depth knowledge of the key areas like the computer software, office automation products ,knowledge of developing a business system module using database packages, problem solving skills using programming languages, computer architecture, software development life cycle, data-structure, database management system, operating system, practical exposure to UNIX/LINUX and communication principles and computer networking, object oriented programming using C++/ Java, and multimedia application.

Post Graduate Diploma In Computer Applications (Semester I and II)

This course is designed to primarily focus on the stream of students who wish to have ample amount of knowledge in the IT field. They can get good jobs in the Industry considering the varied knowledge base that they would develop through this course. This course is a full one year Course.

Eligibility

Graduation is required. No prior knowledge of Programming language is required.
