Welcome to NIELIT Extension Centre Lunglei.
NIELIT Extension Centre Lunglei, was set up at Pukpui, Lunglei, to facilitate the students of the rural areas and economically weaker section of the society in the southern part of Mizoram. The training activities at this extension centre started from March’2013. The Centre has its own campus with Academic building and a girls hostel, in the land allotted by Govt of Mizoram.
NIELIT Lunglei Extn Centre specializes in development of skill in the fields of Information, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT) through various long term and short term courses. The centre has been imparting training in various non formal long term courses namely NIELIT ‘A’ LEVEL, ‘O’LEVEL, MAT ‘O’ etc.
Other short term courses are aimed at giving proficiency and the hands-on skill in the key areas of technology. Emphasis is given on updating students with the latest development in their fields of specialization after completion of their courses. This requirement is especially relevant in the fields of Electronics and Information Technology which are rapidly advancing all the time. The centre is now equipped with adequate infrastructure to be a leading institute, in the state of Mizoram. Apart from this, Corporate Training Programmes, Consultancy Projects and Sponsored Programmes are being undertaken with various agencies. With a motto of serving to the public, the Centre is providing Online Examinations for recruitment to various Government, Public and Private Sectors.
Some of our facilities include e-waste lab, repair and maintenance lab, 3 computer labs. The centre in its endeavour, to fulfil the goal of a digital India, has opened more than 4 study centres, covering the southern district headquarters of Mizoram. We are aiming at making the state of Mizoram a digitally empowered state and lead the campaign. This initiative of NIELIT has made the people of Mizoram to accept us as an ASSET of the state.
Suggestions for growth of NIELIT family for maximum contribution towards making India, digitally empowered, will be highly solicited.
