Visit of Inspection Team to Kolkata on 25-05-2024 for residential training programme for the special wing of “Cyber Commandos”

NIELIT Kolkata submitted a proposal to HQ and subsequently HQ submitted a proposal to I4C (Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre) to conduct residential training programme for the special wing of “Cyber Commandos” to counter threats of Cyber Security incidents of Police and Government organizations across the country. As a pre-requisite of this training programme an inspection team consisting of (i) Shri Deepak Virmani, IAS, Director, I4C, CIS Division, MHA, (ii) Sh.Vishal Dhiman, Dy Director, I4C, CIS Division, MHA visited the centre on 25th May 2024.

Shri V.Krishnamurthy, Executive Director, NIELIT Kolkata welcomed the guests and highlighted the overall activities undertaken by the NIELIT as a whole. Thereafter, Dr. Kalyan Baital, Scientist-D, NIELIT Kolkata presented different activities undertaken by the Cyber Security Division of the centre and explained different open source tools, and licensed cyber forensic tools that are being used during several training programmes. Later the team inspected different labs, infrastructure of the centre,  as well as different logistic arrangements that will be taken care of at the time of residential training programme. Senior officers of the centres were present during the visit of the inspection team. The programme was organized by Mrs. Varsha Deshmukh, AD(Admin).
