NIELIT Kolkata participated in the 6th National Exhibition Cum Fair 2018, organized by Bengal Human Resource Development Foundation, held at Patuli KMDA Ground during 26th to 29th July 2018. The theme of the fair was Science and Technology in development of India. Various Ministries of Govt of India represented in the fair like Ministry of Defence represented by Indian Navy, Ordnance Factory Board, Garden Reach Shipbuilders, ISRO – representing Department of Space, Ministry of Aviation represented by HAL, Oil India Limited, Kolkata Port Trust, Geological Survey of India, IISER Kolkata, CSIR, Sericulture etc.

The event was inaugurated by Commodore J Chowdhury, Indian Navy, in presence of Shri Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Hon'ble Minister of Power, Government of West Bengal, along with other eminent dignitaries.

Students mainly from class 8 – 10 from 4 schools, namely, Boral High School, S.B Girls High School, B.N.C Balika Vidyalay and Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission visited the stalls. The visitors, visiting the NIELIT Kolkata stall, were provided with awareness on UMANG and BHIM app focusing on Digital Empowerment Camp.

On the final day, Smt. Shatabdi Roy, Member of Parliament, Govt. of India, visted the NIELIT stall and interacted with NIELIT representatives. The organizers honoured all the participants with memento and certificates.
