Commissioning of NIELIT Gangtok centre

  1. The Initial Training Facility of NIELIT Gangtok Centre at the rented premises at Sichey, Gangtok has been inaugurated on 10th October ’2010 and is operational with various training programs like Basic Computer Course (BCC), Course on Computer Concepts (CCC), Financial Accounting (FA),Interactive Multimedia Development, Internet and Web Page Design, Hardware and Networking, PC Hardware Maintenance, Mobile Repairing, Repair and Maintenance of Computer Electronics   and  NIELIT “O” & “A” level training programs in IT Software and Multimedia and Animation Technology (MAT) in addition to the customized training programs for various Government departments in the state.
  2. As per the program “Development of North Eastern Region by Enhancing Training and Education Capacity in the Information, Electronics and Communication Technologies (IECT) Area”, it is intended to upgrade the infrastructure and facilities of NIELIT, Gangtok with a total outlay of Rs.41.97 crore for which Government of Sikkim has earmarked an area of 8.56 acres of land at Pakyong for setting up of permanent campus of NIELIT, Gangtok.
