Electricity Billing (UT Chandigarh)

The NIELIT Centre Chandigarh is generating electricity bills for approximately 3 lac consumers of UT Chandigarh. A strong and reliable team of software engineers are involved in development and maintenance of software for different rate structures and ensuring regulatory compliance and data security . A dedicated team  has been instrumental in completing the billing jobs within stipulated stringent timeframe  for years together.

The major activities involved in the project are:

  • Data Digitization

  • Data Processing

  • Generation of Reports (Including Ledgers and Bills)

  • Periodic Backups

  • Monthly/Quarterly/ Half yearly /Annual reports

  • Regrouping

  • Developed a system for charging Advance consumption deposit and Interest Disbursement to consumers

  • Developed system for Charging  Municipal Taxes and Cow Cess.

  • MIS reports

WATER BILLING UT Chandigarh
                            

The NIELIT Centre Chandigarh is generating Water bills for Municipal corporation Public health Department (MCPH) of UT Chandigarh for approximately 1.85 lac consumers. This project involves working in synchronization with the Smart city initiative and providing inputs to  the Ministry of Environment, forest and Climate Change(MoEFCC).

The major activities of the project are:

  • Data Digitization
  • Generation of Reports (Including Ledgers and Bills)
  • Periodic Backups and periodic reports
  • Various reports are generated to be used by the Ministry of Environment, forest and Climate Change(MoEFCC) and Smart City project which contribute to strategies for Urban Planning and development.
  • A system was developed to combine Garbage Collection Charges with water bills for the convenience of Municipal corporation.
  • Developed a system to increase that tariff charges by 5% every financial year.
