NIELIT Chandigarh has been recognized as the Co-Lead Resource Centre for two of the most transformative and high-impact technologies:

  • Big Data & Data Science

  • Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR)

Through this designation, NIELIT Chandigarh is at the forefront of developing and delivering specialized skilling programs that are aligned with industry needs and national digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions

Big Data & Data Science

  • Curriculum Development: Designing industry-relevant training modules that cover the full spectrum from foundational data skills to advanced analytics and machine learning.

  • Capacity Building: Training students, professionals, and government officials to extract insights from complex datasets and drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Hands-On Exposure: Facilitating lab-based, project-driven learning using modern tools such as Python, Hadoop, Spark, and TensorFlow.

Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR)

enlightened Training imparted by NIELIT Chandigarh

Performing the role assigned NIELIT Chandigarh has already imparted training to the various central/ state government officials under this scheme in the technologies Big Data & Data Science and Augmented & Virtual Reality. The officials were trained under the course Government Officials Training (GoT) specially designed for the officials of government departments to ensure continued relevance of the government officials in this rapidly changing technological environment. This initiative has also facilitated the department with the availability of the trained manpower for embracing new opportunities in emerging technologies for catering the department’s in-house requirement.
