Students will be able to take up the All India PG Diploma in Embedded and VLSI arenas from Vellore and Chennai also without having to visit the NIELIT Campuses. “With an aim to impart quality education to more students in the field of Embedded Design and VLSI, an MoU to this effect was signed by NIELIT Calicut and VIT University” , said Dr. M P Pillai, Executive Director  NIELIT Calicut. The MoU will enable students to enroll into this course at VIT Vellore Campus from August 2017 and students can take up the course from the VIT Chennai Campus from 2018. Students will be able to take up Post Graduate Diploma programs in VLSI and Embedded Hardware Design, Embedded Real time systems, and ASIC Design and Verification.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Anand A Samuel, Vice Chancellor, VIT University, Vellore and Dr. M P Pillai, Executive Director  NIELIT Calicut, in the presence of Dr Z.C Alex, Director Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy, VIT University Vellore,  Mr. Pratap Kumar S , Sc E, NIELIT Calicut, Shri A. Baradarajan, JD NIELIT Calicut.  

In future, aspiring engineering students will also have the opportunity to take up the MTech program in ESDM/Product Design and can also participate in modular M Tech programs.
