NSQF Aligned NIELIT Courses

NSQF is a nationally integrated education and competency-based framework that enables persons to acquire desired competency levels. The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) organizes qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude. These levels, graded from one to ten, are defined in terms of learning outcomes which the learner must possess regardless of whether they were acquired through formal, non-formal or informal learning. It is, therefore, a nationally integrated education and competency-based skill and quality assurance framework that will provide for multiple pathways, horizontal as well as vertical, including vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education, thus linking one level of learning to another higher level. This will enable a person to acquire desired competency levels, transit to the job market and at an opportune time, return for acquiring additional skills to further upgrade their competencies. NSQF in India was notified on 27th December 2013
As of now, 75 Courses of NIELIT have been aligned for different level from 2 to 8. A total of 44 courses listed in Annexure I are made available in phase I of roll-out, for accreditation by other institutes.
Who can apply
Any institute / college can apply and get the accreditation for these courses and conduct the program at their campus. NIELIT accredited institutes and institutes affiliated with AICTE/ Universities and running similar programs are exempted from Inspection process for selected courses and accreditation would be granted on self certification basis to such institutes. Examination and certification will be done by NIELIT. Registration cum Examination fee applicable on per student basis.
Accreditation Fee
An institution can apply for maximum of 10 courses initially and an accreditation fee is Rs.10,000/- per course is applicable. For the institutions/Courses, where inspection is required to be carried out, Rs.20,000/- will have to be paid additionally for visit to institutions irrespective of number of courses applied. GST has to be paid extra as applicable.
Instructions for submission of application for accreditation with NIELIT for conducting NSQF aligned courses
Online application provision is yet to be enabled. Till the availability of Online Portal, applications for the States of Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep may be sent by post to NILEIT Calicut along with relevant documents.
1. Apply for empanelment / accreditation for any of the NIELIT courses listed in Annexure I. (More courses are likely to be added in future).
2. Submit the Application Form in the format given in Annexure II to the below address along with filled in check list given in Annexure VIII, other relevant documents and payment transaction details as applicable. (refer handbook given in Annexure A for eligibility criteria, accreditation fee details, course requirements and guidelines for filling up the above forms)
