With  a view to create awareness on Digital Payments and  taking forward Government of India’s vision on moving towards a cashless society and promoting transparency in financial transactions; Awareness workshops were conducted at NIELIT Jammu for both staff members and students  of  the   institute on 9 December 2016.

These workshops were inaugurated by Dr. A. H. Moon, Executive Director NIELIT J&K.  Dr. Moon explained the importance and advantages of the cashless society and how can it prove to be a game changer for a better tomorrow.

The workshop was conducted by Sh. S K Sharma Astt. Director (Tech) who explained various mode and working of the available cashless transactions and practical aspect of cashless transfer was demonstrated by Sh. R Raina Deputy Director (Tech).

During the workshops students and staff members were made aware of various cashless transactions modes which are available to a citizen today. Security aspects related to such transaction also taken up during the course of the workshop.
