The cyclonic storm that occurred at Chuchuyimlang Town on the early morning of 1^st may 2016 at around 1:30 am damaged some properties of NIELIT Extension Centre Chuchuyimlang. A committee was formed to access the damaged done by the cyclone. The members found that one of the computer laboratory has been completely damaged as the roof was blown away and most of the electrical equipment such as computers, electrical wiring, Lan wiring, carpet etc has been soiled and damaged by heavy rain. Moreover some equipment of Hardware Lab and Multimedia Lab were also damaged. Roof of veranda and Officer-In-Charge room was also found to be damaged.
