It is my privilege to say a few words about our organization, NIELIT Itanagar. NIELIT Itanagar specializes in development of skill in the fields of Information, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT) through various long term and short term courses. The Institute has its presence at Itanagar, Pasighat and Tezu in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Centre and its Extension centres offer various long-term and short-term courses. The centre also started a 3 years Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) course with effect from July’2016 Academic session. The degree course is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University (Central University), Doimukh, Itanagar. 

NSQF aligned courses are aimed at giving proficiency and the hands-on training in the key areas of technology. The main emphasis is updating the students skills with the latest development in the area of IECT.  Since its inception in the year 2011, the Institute has trained more than 8000 students / candidates in various long and short term courses. The centre is now planning to equip with adequate infrastructure to lead the state of Arunachal Pradesh in the field of IECT. Apart from this, Corporate Training Programmes, Consultancy Projects and Sponsored Programmes are being undertaken with various agencies.  A Cyber Forensic Training Cum Investigation Lab is set up by C-DAC Kolkata under "Development of Cyber Forensic Training cum Investigations Labs in North-Eastern States and Cloud Based Centralized Cyber Forensic Lab Infrastructure" a project of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India is created at NIELIT Itanagar.

Two extension centres of NIELIT Itanagar are being set up at Pasighat and Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh.  The training activities at these extension centres commenced on Dec. 2015 and Jan. 2018 respectively.  NIELIT is aimed at reaching the unreached and lead the campaign of digital literacy in the state.
