Swachhata Pakhwada (1st February to 15th February, 2022):

'Swachhata Pakhwada' being observed from 1st Feb - 15th Feb 2022 at NIELIT Kolkata in both Jadavpur and Salt Lake Campuses. The Swachhta Pakhwada at NIELIT Kolkata was celebrated with great enthusiasm and activities went in full swing. All officers/staff members are encouraged to keep office premises clean and plastic free, to manage old records properly and to participate in other Swachhta related activities.

During the Pakhwada several cleanliness activities were initiated on Centre campus. Some of the cleanliness activities conducted during the Swachhta Pakhwada are listed below: 

• Displaying the Banners at prominent point of the Building
• Proper cleaning of all the central facilities of institute.
• General Cleaning of working tables and room floor of each room
• General Cleaning of all almirahs/ cupboard
• General Cleaning of staircase of building
• General Cleaning of all common area of  the building i.e. corridor, toilets ,lobbies
• Lecture regarding e-waste and general discussion on e-waste
• Special Cleanliness of parking area & closing of Swachhata Pakhwada

On the occasion of observance of Swachhta Pakhwada during 1-15th February 2022, Shri Anirban Jyoti Hati, Scientist-B of the Centre has delivered a lecture on 14.02.2022 at STPI, Kolkata on e-Waste management, plastic waste management, cleanliness and ban of single use plastic(SUP). The programme was interactive and got positive responses from the participants present.
