National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Society is an Autonomous Scientific Society under Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India. NIELIT Senapati is an Extension Centre of NIELIT Imphal and was established  on 10^th July, 2013 (Wednesday). The permanent campus constructed under NECB project under the funding of MietY was inugrated by Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Hon'ble Union Minister of States for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Enterpreneurship, Govt. of India on 6^th May 2022 (Friday).

The Centre is located Near Old District Hospital Campus, Senapati Bazaar . The centre became operational on 28^th October 2020 in its permanent campus which is of 3.60 acres of land provided by Govt. of Manipur. The permanent campus has administrative cum academic block consisting of three (3) well-furnished computer Labs with a total capacity of 100 Computers, Electronics Lab, Hardware Lab, library and Servicing Lab. The campus has well-furnished Girl’s hostel also.

NIELIT Senapati has completed 9 years to establish training facilities on IT & Elctronics at Senapati District. This Centre has been set up for the local youths to create groomed, technically competent and skilled intellectual IT professionals.
