National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Kohima under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India is delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the Job Fair event 2023- Yuva Rojgar Manch-Sashakt Yuva, Sashakt Rashtra(Youth Employment Forum-Strong Youth, Strong Nation) for NIELIT students on 29th Nov, 2023 at Dimapur NIELIT.

For the event, 25 prospective employers were available with several openings and most of the openings were posted in Nagaland and Interviews were conducted for around 350 NIELIT students where approx 184 were male candidates and remaining were female candidates. Given the substantial number of job openings within Nagaland, there is no pressing concern regarding unemployment in the State and along with the positive response, both from the candidates as well as the employers, especially considering the Job Fair being organized for the first time by NIELIT Kohima, it speaks volumes about the potential and enthusiasm within Nagaland for such initiatives. It signifies a promising beginning and lays a strong foundation for future’s  employment opportunities.

Director L.Lanuwabang, NIELIT Kohima in his address highlighted that this job fair organized by NIELIT are not merely events or not just about filling job vacancies, they are strategic initiatives that bridge the gap between skilled individuals and opportunities that align with their expertise. They empower our skilled students to secure fulfilling careers, contribute to the growth of organizations, and fuel economic progress and it is all about creating a virtuous cycle of skilled individuals, thriving organizations, and a prosperous Nation such as Skilled individuals gain employment opportunities, Employers find qualified candidates, and the Economy benefits from a more productive workforce.

NIELIT remains committed to extending its efforts by organizing more Job Fairs in the upcoming years and we are  aimed to facilitate the youth of Nagaland to have easy access to education and training in the field of Electronics and Information Technology in a well-equipped infrastructure
