Initiating the capacity building of State Government personnel in Information Technology & Digital services (including Digital Payments and GST), NIELIT Kohima inaugurated the training programme on March 20, 2018 at NIELIT Kohima with Shri. Sandeep M. Tamgadge, IPS, IGP as the Chief Guest. The training programme is being organised under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Govt of India and implemented by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT).

The inaugural programme was marked by an introductory session followed by the keynote address from the Director i/c, NIELIT Kohima, Shri. L. Lanuwabang. He highlighted on the activities of the centre and briefed on the training programme being implemented for enhancement of IT skills of State Government officials.

The chief guest, Shri. Sandeep M. Tamgadge, IPS, IGP launched the training programme by unveiling the training kit. In his address, the chief guest spoke on the relevance and importance of adopting information technology and digital services especially in the workplace.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Shri. A. Morimenba Amer, Deputy Director after which the 1st batch of training commenced with 20 officials from various departments.
