The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Govt. of India signed MoUs with 6 higher educational institutes viz., Kaziranga University, JB College (Autonomous), CKB Commerce College, Mariani College, Cinnamara College and DKD College for the better academic association among the institutions and for carrying out joint activities in the emerging fields in its extension centre at Rowriah, Jorhat on 2^nd December 2022.

In his welcome address, Dr. Rana Sharma, Administrative Officer of NIELIT Guwahati briefed about the NIELIT activities and emphasized on the importance of academic collaborations among the institutions. Dr. Saurov Mahanta , Senior Technical Officer of NIELIT Guwahati informed about the NECB 2.0 project.

Dr. Y. Jayanta Singh, Executive Director, NIELIT Guwahati insisted all the partner institute to come forward in identifying quality students for training in IECT and in emerging areas like AI, cyber security, IT, Blockchain, Bioinformatics, Cloud computing, Robotics etc.

The programme was concluded by Sri P.K. Tamooli, Scientist-B of NIELIT Jorhat EC with his vote of thanks. In his speech, he urged all partner institutes to use facilities available with NIELIT for betterment of the students and society at large.

Sri Manab Kalita, Scientist-E, NIELIT Guwahati along with the dignitaries from the partner Institutes was present on the occasion of signing of MoUs.
