In keeping with the dream of Mahatma Gandhi for a clean and developed India, a 15 (fifteen) day Swachhata Pakhwada programme from 01-02-22 to 15-02-22 was chalked out for its implementation in NIELIT Jorhat EC.

As per the programme, each staff member of Jorhat EC devoted 1 (one) hour to cleaning, sorting and spreading awareness on Single Use Plastic.

A lecture on “Plastic waste management and ban on Single Use Plastic (SUP)” was given by Mr. Bimal Goswami, Jr. IT Faculty, for the students, staff of NIELIT Jorhat EC and members of the public. Similarly, Mr. Jyotirmoy Deka, IT Faculty, conducted a workshop on “E-waste Management”.

All those present appreciated the topics covered in the lecture and workshop.
