NIELIT Society is an autonomous Scientific Society of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India. The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1960. NIELIT Society is the only professional examination body in India, which accredits institutes / organizations for conducting a particular course, specializing in the non-formal sector of IT education.

The Head Quarter of the Society is situated at Electronics Niketan, 6, CGO Complex, New Delhi – 110 003 and number of counseling centres are situated in important cities in the country.

NIELIT is envisioned to be a premier knowledge institution pursuing human resource development activities in areas of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT).

NIELIT’s holistic quality policy entails offering its various courses through painstakingly screened accredited institutes to ensure seriousness at both the institute and individual level. The Society has its twenty one centers, six extension centresand two branches at 29 locations namely

These Centres provide quality education & training programmes in Information, Electronic Design and related technologies/areas on long term and short term basis.
