World Intellectual Property Day, 2016 on the theme Digital Creativity: Cultured Reimagined was observed today at National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Akampat.

The observance programme organized jointly by Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC), Imphal and NIELIT, Imphal was attended by Shri Th Surendranath Singh, Director, MASTEC, Imphal, Shri.Th Prameshwor Singh, Executive Director, NIELIT, Imphal and Shri Dr L Dinachandra Singh, Senior Scientific Officer, MASTEC as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Shri Th Surendranath  Singh while speaking on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) said that observance of the World Intellectual Property Day was started in the State since 2010 only although it has been started since 2001 in other States of India.
