Digidhan Camp at Una

NIELIT Chandigarh in association with Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) organized Digidhan Camp on Capacity Building of Small/Medium Businesses/Traders on Digital Payment Initiatives at Bachan Bhawan, Una on 28^th May 2017. Shri S. K. Sharma, Secretary, CAIT & State President, Vayapar Mandal, Himachal Pradesh was Chief Guest. Dr. M.M. Sharma, Executive Director, NIELIT Chandigarh, Shri Rakesh Kailash,General Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Vayapar Mandal ,Shri Moti Lal Kapila, President, Vayapar Mandal Una City and Dr. Manish Arora, Additional Director, NIELIT Chandigarh were present. The main objective of Digidhan Camp was to motivate traders to use digital modes of payments like AEPS and BHIM. More than 100 Traders from different trades and nearby areas attended the camp.  Ms. Anita Budhiraja, Joint Director, explained the different modes of digital payments available to the traders. Representative from UCO Bank gave presentation on BHIM app and they gave live demonstration of the apps available for making financial transactions using mobile apps to traders. Shri Sachin Chandla, Deputy Director, NIELIT gave presentation on Aadhaar app. Shri S. K. Sharma appealed to all the traders to use digital modes of payments. Dr. M. M. Sharma, Executive Director, NIELIT explained the advantages of use of digital modes of payments to the trader and requested to make use of these modes in their businesses.
