NIELIT Chandigarh organizes Digidhan Camp at Jalandhar for Small/Medium Businesses/Traders

NIELIT Chandigarh organized Digidhan Camp at circuit House, Jalandhar on 16^th May, 2017 for Small/Medium Businesses/Traders with support of Vyapar Mandal, Jalandhar. Shri Lalli, Senior Industry Promotion Officer, District Industry Centre, Jaladhar was chief guest at the camp. He appealed traders to adopt digital mode of payments while doing their business transactions. He thanked NIELIT for taking such initiatives in their area. The other invited guest was Shri Gursharan Singh, President, Vayapar Mandal, Jalandhar, who appreciated the move initiated by Government of India to create awareness on use of Digital mode of Payments by traders in their daily business transactions. He thanked NIELIT for organizing camp at Jalandhar. He appealed to traders to use digital payment methods. Ms Jyoti Sharma, Deputy Director, NIELIT Chandigarh welcomed Chief Guest, invited guests and traders. Representatives of Punjab National Bank demonstrated the BHIM App to traders and other modes of payments. Representative from UIDAI also demonstrated Aadhaar Enabled Payment Systems (AEPS). More than 100 traders participated in the camp.
