NIELIT Ropar campus had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). The delegation was led by SGPC President S. Harjinder Singh Dhami and included Smt. Harjinder Kaur, former Mayor of Chandigarh, and S. Chanchal Singh, former DPI of Chandigarh Education Department. 
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Director of NIELIT Ropar, welcomed the guests and provided a detailed briefing on the wide range of activities and projects being undertaken at the Ropar campus. This briefing highlighted NIELIT's commitment to advancing digital literacy, providing cutting-edge technical training, and driving skill development across various sectors.
A significant portion of the visit was dedicated to exploring potential collaborations between NIELIT and SGPC. Fruitful discussions were held regarding the possibility of establishing a partnership akin to NIELIT's successful collaboration with the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL). This proposed tie-up aims to leverage NIELIT's technological expertise to enhance educational and skilling opportunities within SGPC-managed institutions.
