NIELIT Chandigarh at its Ropar Campus successfully organised Job Fair 2023 in association with NIELIT Hardiwar, NIELIT Shimla and DGE. The fair  was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sh Dinesh Chaddha, MLA, Ropar. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of NIELIT Ropar in arranging the Mega Job Fair where the youth of Punjab and other neighboring states got an excellent opportunity for employment. He said that such Job Fairs should be regularly organised for the betterment of the society. Dr Dhiraj Mahajan, Chairman Placement Cell, IIT Ropar was the Guest of Honour who stressed upon the need of soft skills in the curriculum for overall development of the candidates to enhance their employability. Dr Sanjeev K Gupta, Executive Director, NIELIT Chandigarh thanked him and addressed the students and employers. He appreciated all the 35 employers who came from other states also to get the suitable candidates for various job roles. He said that such Fairs will be regularly held two to three times in a year and tie-ups with many more will be done soon.
