Course Objective: 
  • To provide foundational knowledge of embedded systems and their architecture, focusing on ARM Cortex microcontrollers.
  • To develop proficiency in Embedded C programming and GPIO-based hardware interfacing.
  • To introduce students to prototyping tools like Arduino and online simulators for hands-on experimentation.
  • To explore IoT architecture, hardware platforms, and cloud integration techniques.
  • To guide students in building end-to-end embedded IoT applications through mini project.
Course Outcome: 

Upon completion of this internship course, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the architecture and working principles of embedded systems and ARM-based microcontrollers.
  2. Write and debug Embedded C code for real-time hardware interfacing.
  3. Implement and simulate sensor-based applications using Arduino and web-based platforms.
  4. Design simple IoT solutions integrating mobile apps and cloud services.
  5. Develop a functional mini project demonstrating knowledge of embedded and IoT systems.

Selection of candidates : Online portal registration , first come first serve basis

Reporting Date :

  1. For online, 12th May 2025, 10 AM: Introduction session meeting link will be shared in the welcome mail along with the LMS Login credentials.
  2. For Offline session, 26th May 2025, 9:30 AM at NIELIT, Calicut centre.

Hostel Details for offline sessions:

  1. Stay will be available at our hostel ( if required ).
  2. Hostel Fee: for 2 weeks( Total 12 days from 26th May 2025 to 6th June 2025): Rs. 12*267 = Rs. 3,204 including stay and canteen fees. (267 = 100 (stay)+ 167 (canteen), canteen is mandatory for hostlers )
  3. Common wifi is available, and common iron box is available for usage. Laundry services available at outside at a distance of 1 Km. (private not related to NIELIT)
  4. Parent stay during joining day we can provide for only one day based up on availabilty only on chargable basis, around 600/-  will be charged for stay. It will be at seperate guest house room near to hostel.
  5. you have to inform to us atleast 2 working days before joining the hostel. you can join on weekends.
  6. Canteen menu will be shared in the WhatsApp group

Preamble: 

This internship program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Embedded systems technologies. The course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience to equip participants with the skills required in these rapidly evolving fields. The Course is planned with instructor led Offline sessions of lectures, demonstrations and hands on sessions with  development boards and kits.

II. Refund of Fee:
If the student does not join for the registered course / any of the registered courses, fee paid shall be forfeited.
However above the registration fee shall be refunded on few special cases as given below

  •  Course postponed and new date is not convenient for the student
  •  Course cancelled in advance, well before the admission date

III. Course Fee Structure:
Students can pay the full fees in advance as mentioned below.
