IEEE-NIELIT- Calicut SB on ‘State of the Art in Semiconductor Fab Automation’
IEEE NIELIT Calicut SB in association with IEEE KERALA SECTION and IEEE Robotics & Automation Society Kerala Chapter organized a Technical Talk on “State of the Art in Semiconductor Fab Automation” by Mr Gautham Shankar , CEO of GES Infotek, Techopark Thiruvanathapuram on Friday, 15th July 2016 at NIELIT Calicut. As many as 110 students and staff attended the programme. The program was interesting and informative and was well appreciated by the participants.
IEEE-NIELIT-ISTE Workshop On ‘Preparatory Practices for Accreditation with Outcome Based Education’
NIELIT Calicut, conducted a Two day National Workshop on ‘Preparatory Practices for Accreditation with Outcome Based Education’, on 28th May 2016 in technical collaboration with IEEE Malabar Subsection and ISTE Kerala Section. The program covered topics like Outcome Based Education through Active Learning, Latest NBA Accreditation Criteria, Process involved in Pre and Post Accreditation Phases, Hands on Preparation of Self Assessment Report in an automated environment etc. Prof (Dr) K.P Mohandas (Former dean of NITC & dean of MES CE Kuttipuram) inaugurated the function in the august presence of Dr M.P Pillai (Executive Director, NIELIT Calicut), Prof (Dr) Lillykutty Jacob (Chair, IEEE MSS & Professor, NITC) and Sri Pratap Kumar S (Head, Product Engineering & VLSI, NIELIT Calicut). Dr. S. Bhaskar Professor, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai (Former Engineering Evaluation & Moderation Committee Member, NBA), Mr Gandhi Karuna (CTO, Watsinit Mobile Technologies ) and Mr Nataraj Pinakapani (CEO, Watsinit Mobile Technologies ) served as the resource persons.
IEEE-NIELIT-ICFOSS Workshop ‘Raspberry Pi Primer’
NIELIT Calicut, conducted a two day National Workshop titled Raspberry Pi Primer, in technical collaboration with IEEE Malabar Subsection, International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (ICFOSS) and Young Professional Affinity Group of IEEE Kerala Section. The program was on 23rd & 24th April 2016 at NIELIT Calicut. The program introduced to the participants designing based on Raspberry Pi, a series of credit card sized, powerful & lightweight ARM based single-board computers that have revolutionized rapid prototyping of applications, especially tailored for Internet of Things.
