NIELIT Aurangabad recently conducted an internship program in "VLSI & SoC Design" and "Embedded System & IoT," under Chip to startup program(C2S) of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology(MeitY), Government of India, spanning five weeks in a hybrid mode. A total of 10 students from various colleges participated in this internship programme. Throughout the program, students gained in-depth knowledge on topics including Verilog RTL Coding, CMOS Inverter Fabrication & Design Rules, FPGA Architecture Overview, Design Entry, Synthesis, Placement & Routing, SoC Design & RTL Verification Techniques, MicroPython, Embedded C, Swadeshi DIR-V Vega Microprocessors, and ARM Cortex M3 Architecture and Programming. These skills were honed through practical exercises on the latest FPGA and microcontroller boards.

The internship was coordinated by Mr. Saurabh Kesari, Scientist-C, and Dr. Anirban Jyoti Hati, Scientist-C, with Mr. Shashank Singh, Scientist-B, Mr Ravi Ranjan, STA and Mr. Ritesh Prasad, STA, serving as co-coordinators. The program concluded with a Certificates Distribution Ceremony presided over by Dean Academics, Dr. Lakshman Korra, on July 19, 2024.
