GRANTHALAYA, The NIELIT Agartala Centre Library was established in 2009 in the ground floor of the temporary campus of NIELIT Agartala at Indranagar. Now the total area of library at permanent campus is 300 sq. mt. The Library is now following Closed Access System.NIELIT Agartala Centre has successfully implemented e-Granthalaya, a library automation software developed by NIC, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt.of India.
The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) of NIELIT Agartala Centre library as well as Tripura University study Centre library is available at NIELIT OPAC.
Library Collection is organized through Dewey Decimal classification (DDC) scheme which is internationally known and accepted scheme for library classification. Books are acquired according to the requirement of the student, requisition obtained from faculty members and other staff on regular basis. There is a library committee for administering, organizing and maintaining the Library and Library services with the approval of Director In-charge.

Library Membership/Identity cards are required to be shown at the entrance on demand.

Personal belongings shall not be allowed to be carried inside the Library.

In case damage is caused to any library reading material or property, the person concerned shall be liable to pay the replacement cost.

The reader shall maintain silence within the library premises and conduct themselves with dignity conducive to congenial atmosphere for study and research.

The member is expected to return borrowed books on or before the due date. Otherwise an overdue charge of Rs.2/-per day per book will be levied for the late return of books. Renewal of the books will depend on availability and requirement of the same by others

Manuscripts, Reference books, Rare books, Theses, Dissertations, Periodicals (loose numbers and bound volumes) and as such other reading materials as are marked for consultation within the library shall not be issued out for loan except with the special permission of the Competent Authority.

In case loss of membership card/identity card, the borrower must report immediately to Librarian. A duplicate identity card may be issued on the basis of application supported with an FIR lodged in local police station along with the receipt of Rs.25/-deposited at the Cash counter in the institute.

Strict discipline and decorum of the library shall be maintained all the time.

No one should remove any part of library, any newspaper or current issues of periodical on display.

The library rules and regulations shall be modified from time to time and shall be binding to all concerned.
