NIELIT Agartala – Khumulwng Study Centre

NIELIT Agartala launched its third study centre in Khumulwng by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NIELIT and Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) on November 23, 2015 in the august presence of Shri Anurag Mathur, Director-In-Charge, NIELIT Agartala, Shri Radha Charan Debbarma, Hon’ble Chief Executive Member, (TTAADC), Shri Joy Bahadur Jamatia, Hon’ble Executive Member, Science & Technology, TTAADC & Dr. Dipankar Chakraborty, Principal Khumulwng General Degree College.

One of the main objectives behind this initiative is to get excellence in the field of capacity building by running various long term and short term courses at this study centre which will enhance employability skills of the youth of the state. Furthermore, the MoU facilitates with the following objectives:

To generate quality manpower and develop skilled professionals in the area of Information, Electronics and Communications Technology (IECT) and allied by providing world class education & training and accreditation services.
To provide continuing support to learners and trainers through active design & development of innovative curricula and acquisition of content aligned with the dynamically changing IECT scenario.
To establish a quality system of examination and certification that is globally recognized providing a fair assessment of the competency of students.
To establish standards in the areas of IECT and to develop markets in the emerging areas.
To impart continuing Education for up-gradation of knowledge and skills, in view of high obsolescence in the area of IECT, e-Governance, ESDM etc.
