"NIELIT Shimla got a project from D.C. Office Shimla for the updation of NPR data for 355 Enumeration Blocks of Shimla District. The project is to be executed in a time bound manner and in a period of 3 months. Unlike the previous project, when scanned images were provided by RGI, this time original EBs have been provided in which the updations to be done have been marked. 

For carrying out the activity, a lab has been setup where 12 operators have been deployed and their classroom training has been completed and at present practical training on sample data is in progress. It is expected that the within this week, the practical training will be over and from 1st July, 2016, the data digitization work will be started."
