NIELIT Kurukshetra organized career development workshop for the students of Govt. Polytechnic College, Nilokheri on 25 October 2017 and Government Polytechnic College, Sirsa on 30 October 2017. The workshop was focused on how to bridge the skill gap between student skill set and market demand. Team NIELIT explained in details various career options available for Polytechnic Diploma passouts in the fields of Electrical, Electronics and IT. They were guided as to how they can include IT during studying their curriculum for effective understanding and accordingly, how knowledge of certain IT tools and packages can enhance their employability prospects without compromising on core branch of engineering.
Students were also explained about the role being played by NIELIT-Kurukshetra in both capacity building and capacity enhancement of students in IT.
The workshop was attended by around 400 final year students at GBN polytechnic College, Nilokheri and 75 final year students at Government Polytechnic College, Sirsa. Both the workshops were highly successful.
