Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2017

NIELIT Kolkata observed the Vigilance Awareness Week (30^th October  to  4^th November, 2017) as per the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission at the centre’s premises in Jadavpur University Campus. The theme of this year was  “My Vision-Corruption Free India”.

It was inaugurated ceremoniously on 30.10.17 in presence of the Director & other senior officers of the Centre along with the employees. Vigilance Officer of the Centre, welcomed the Chief Guest and others present in the occasion. The Hon’ble Director, in his speech, introduced the staff members present in the occasion with the importance of observing this week every year  in the government offices along with other aspects of the preventive as well as corrective vigilance measures in the day to day activities of the Centre. He also suggested different methods to involve public in promotion of integrity and eradicating corruption.

The inaugural address was followed by oath taking (bilingually) and a debate where most of the employees participated. As a whole the session was informative and interactive too.Finally a walkathon was held in the Jadavpur University Campus. Most of the staff of the organization participated in the rally displaying the banner of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2017 program.
